A glittering gala dinner was held at the Richards Bay Campus last night as part of the ongoing MBALI Conference being hosted by the University of Zululand. Sponsored by Absa and organised by the Faculty of Commerce, Administration and Law, the three-day conference brings under one roof experts and academics specialising in the fields of law, commerce and administration.
One of the main speakers at the event Dr Thami Mazwai, the special advisor to Small Business Development Minister Lindiwe Zulu, said a partnership would be forged with various universities in a bid to help emerging entrepreneurs.

Minister Zulu attended the cocktail event of the MBALI Conference on Wednesday. Other speakers at last night’s event included Dante Mashile of Absa and uMhlathuze Mayor Mduduzi Mhlongo.
Mashile said as sponsors, Absa were happy with the way in which the conference was proceeding.
Professor Dev Tewari, the Dean for the Faculty of Commerce, Administration and Law thanked all those who worked hard to ensure that the conference becomes a success.
He singled out Vice-Chancellor Professor Xoliswa Mtose, Absa, the delegates, the speakers, Minister Zulu, Dr Mazwai and the organising team as some of the people who were instrumental in ensuring the conference is a success.
